The 2013/14 season of the Regionalliga was the sixth season of the Regional Football League as the fourth highest division in Germany. The sponsorship of the leagues has been transferred from the German Football Association (DFB) to the regional and state associations.
Regional leagues
- Regionalliga Bayern 2013/14 with 19 teams from the Bavarian Football Association (BFV)
- Regionalliga Nord 2013/14 with 18 teams from the North German Football Association (NFV)
- Regionalliga Nordost 2013/14 with 16 teams from the Northeast German Football Association (NOFV)
- Regionalliga Südwest 2013/14 with 18 teams from the Football Regional Association Southwest and the South German Football Association (SFV) with the exception of the Bavarian Football Association
- Regionalliga West 2013/14 with 19 teams from the West German Football and Athletics Association (WFLV)
Promotion Games
The champions of the five regional leagues and the runner-up in the Regionalliga Südwest take part in the promotion games to the 3rd division . The winners of the three promotion games drawn with a round trip will be promoted. A meeting between the two qualifiers of the Regionalliga Südwest is not possible.
If teams do not participate, or if no team from a regional league qualifies athletically, byes will be awarded.
The following teams qualified for the promotion games:
- Champion of the Regionalliga Bayern: FC Bayern Munich II
- Champion of the Regionalliga Nord: VfL Wolfsburg II
- Champion of the Regionalliga Nordost: TSG Neustrelitz
- Champion of the Regionalliga Südwest: SG Sonnenhof Großaspach
- Second best contender of the Regionalliga Südwest: 1. FSV Mainz 05 II
- Champion of the Regionalliga West: SC Fortuna Cologne
The game was drawn on April 26th during the half-time break between Hansa Rostock and RB Leipzig . The first leg took place on May 28th and the second leg on June 1st.
