Regional League 2010/11
3rd division 2011/12

The 2011/12 season of the Regionalliga was the fourth season of the Regionalliga as the fourth highest division in German football. It was last played in three regional seasons - North, West and South. The north and south relays consisted of 18 teams, while the west group exceptionally 19 clubs played. The regional league was organized by the German Football Association DFB , which transferred the technical administration to the Northeast German Football Association NOFV (Regionalliga Nord), the West German Football and Athletics Association WFLV (Regionalliga West) and the South German Football Association SFV (Regionalliga Süd) . The season started on August 5, 2011 and ended on May 19, 2012.

The champions of the North, West and South seasons rose directly to the 3rd division . Due to the regional league reform, the further qualification provisions for the 2012/13 season were made by the individual state or regional associations.

The DFB announced the division on July 1, 2011. The only club that did not play in the regional league season that covered its association area was Wormatia Worms , which was grouped into the southern season as in the previous season.
