Christian Beck (born March 10, 1988 in Erfurt ) is a German football player . He is used in the storm and has been playing for 1. FC Magdeburg since January 2013 .

Career

From 1996 to 2006 Beck played in the youth teams of FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt . From 2006 he was used both for the professional team and for the second team of Erfurt. In 2008 he was loaned to Halleschen FC for one year in the regional league . Beck returned to Erfurt in 2009 and finally left the club in 2010. He moved to the major league for Torgelower SV Greif . In the summer of 2011, Beck went to Germania Halberstadt , where he became a top scorer under head coach Andreas Petersen and stayed there until June 2012. In the summer of 2012, Christian Beck was about to move to RB Leipzig . There, however, Peter Pacult was replaced by Alexander Zorniger , so that the change did not take place and Beck remained without a club until January 2013.

In January 2013, 1. FC Magdeburg signed him, for whom Beck scored eight goals in 16 games in the second half of the 2012/13 season . In Magdeburg he met again Andreas Petersen, who built Beck into a top scorer and top performer for Magdeburg. Christian Beck was the top scorer in the regional soccer league in the 2013/14 and 2014/15 season . He won the Saxony-Anhalt Cup twice with FCM and on May 31, 2015, as part of the team in the second leg of the relegation against Kickers Offenbach, he was promoted to the 3rd division . There Beck scored a total of 19 league goals in the 2015/16 season and only narrowly failed with the FCM in fourth place in the promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. In the following season 2016/17 he was top scorer of the third division with 17 league goals, with Magdeburg he again finished fourth. In the subsequent 2017/18 season he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga with FCM. With 115 goals (as of November 24, 2019) Beck is the third most successful goalscorer in the history of 1. FC Magdeburg.

Beck is the captain of the professional team of 1. FC Magdeburg.
