Justin Eilers (born June 13, 1988 in Braunschweig ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Eilers began his adult career in 2006 with the Lower Saxony division team FT Braunschweig . A year later he switched to the second team from Eintracht Braunschweig . Here Eilers drew attention to himself as a scorer and moved up to the third division squad of Eintracht during the 2008/09 season . After only nine short appearances in the third division, in which he failed to score, Eilers left Braunschweig in 2009 and joined the second team at VfL Bochum . However, after he did not make the leap into the Bochum professional team, he moved to the Lower Saxon upper division Goslarer SC 08 for the 2011/12 season . With 15 goals in 20 appearances, Eilers played a major role in his first year in making the GSC champion and advancing to the Regionalliga Nord . In the summer of 2013 he moved to league rivals VfL Wolfsburg II, with whom he was champion and third in the goalscorer list with 17 hits.

On June 20, 2014, the third division Dynamo Dresden announced the commitment of Eilers. During his first season in the Dynamo jersey, he was voted third division player of the month in August and September 2014 . In his 36 appearances this season, he scored a total of 19 goals and also scored three times in three DFB Cup games. At the end of his second season in Dresden, he was promoted to the second division with Dynamo as a third division champion . In March 2016, his heel hit in the league game against Hansa Rostock was named Goal of the Month . With his 23 goals in 38 league games, he not only played a key role in the success of his team, but was also named top scorer . He was also voted third division player of the year .

For the 2016/17 season, Eilers was signed free of charge by Bundesliga club Werder Bremen . The contract ran for three years. Due to a hip injury and a subsequent groin operation, he was only able to play his first game on February 5, 2017 for the second team in the third division against Fortuna Cologne . One match day before the end of the season he tore a cruciate ligament during training.

After the 2017/18 season, Eilers moved to the Greek first division for the capital city club Apollon Smyrnis without having played a game for the Bremen first team . However, he only played one competitive game for this and dissolved his contract in December 2018. Since then he has been without a club and kept himself fit with a personal trainer in his home town of Braunschweig .

The third division Sportfreunde Lotte signed the striker in January 2019 until the end of the season . With the Sportfreunde Eilers rose after he had only come to two missions due to an injury, but at the end of the season as table eighteenth in the Regionalliga West .
