Fabian Schnellhardt (born January 12, 1994 in Leinefelde ) is a German soccer player .
Career
In the club
Schnellhardt moved from Erfurt to Cologne in 2009 . From the 2012/13 season he played for the second team of 1. FC Köln in the Regionalliga West . From the 2013/14 season Schnellhardt was in the squad of the first team. He made his debut for the professionals in the 2nd Bundesliga on September 1, 2013, the 6th matchday, when he came on for Matthias Lehmann in the 86th minute of a 4-1 home win over FC Erzgebirge Aue .
For the 2014/15 season Schnellhardt moves to the 3rd division for MSV Duisburg . At first he did not take a regular seat, but occasionally came to work due to substitutions. In 2015 the team was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. In June 2015 Schnellhardt was signed by third division Holstein Kiel for a year on loan. There he was a regular player and made 35 league appearances. In summer 2016 he returned to Duisburg. His contract runs until 2020.
In the 2016/17 season Schnellhardt was named the best player of the season in the third division. After promotion this season, he not only became a regular player, but also the team's second captain in the 2nd Bundesliga behind Kevin Wolze .
After MSV's relegation again, Schnellhardt dissolved his contract, which was valid until June 2020, in summer 2019 and signed a three-year contract with SV Darmstadt 98 .
National team
Schnellhardt was a U20 national player . With the U17 he finished third at the 2011 World Cup in Mexico .
