Nicolai Rapp (born December 13, 1996 in Heidelberg ) is a German soccer player . The central defender is on loan from 1. FC Union Berlin to SV Darmstadt 98 and is a former German junior international.
Career
societies
Rapp moved in 2006 from FC Freya Limbach to the youth department of TSG 1899 Hoffenheim . For his second team , he played twice in the Regionalliga Südwest in the 2014/15 season while still a teenager . For the 2015/16 season he moved up to the squad of the first team, but was only used for the regional league team in the first half of the season. On October 16, 2015 he scored his first goal in the 66th minute in a 3-0 away win against TSV Steinbach with the goal of the 3-0 final score in the 66th minute. At the beginning of February 2016 he was awarded to the second division team SpVgg Greuther Fürth until the end of the season . On February 26, 2016, he made his debut in the 2-1 defeat against 1. FC Nürnberg in the 2nd Bundesliga, after being substituted on for Robert Žulj in the 75th minute .
After the loan ended, he moved to the second division club FC Erzgebirge Aue for the 2017/18 season . He signed a three-year contract there at the beginning of June 2017, which was terminated in the winter break of the 2018/19 season in favor of his move to 1. FC Union Berlin .
For the second half of the 2019/20 season, Rapp switched to SV Darmstadt 98 on loan , where he was supposed to replace Mathias Wittek , who tore an outer ligament. From the 23rd match day the Heidelberg regular was in central defense and was only not in the matchday squad in the last game of the season. Following the season, the loan arrangement was extended until June 2021.
National team
Rapp made his debut on October 11, 2011 in the 1: 2 defeat against Ukraine in the German U16 national team and came around a month later in the 5: 0 win against Cyprus to another use. On March 5, 2014, he played a friendly game for the U18 team , which was lost 3-1 to France .
