Patric Pfeiffer (born August 20, 1999 in Hamburg ) is a German soccer player of Ghanaian descent. He is under contract with SV Darmstadt 98 and is a former German junior national player.

Beginnings in Hamburg

Pfeiffer grew up as the second of three children - he has an older sister and a younger brother - in Hamburg-Steilshoop and stepped in his childhood the Bramfelder SV in before going into the 2013 youth academy of Hamburger SV moved. At HSV, Pfeiffer went through all junior teams from youth C upwards.

During the international break in September 2017, Pfeiffer trained with the professional team for the first time under Markus Gisdol . At the beginning of November 2017, the central defender received his first professional contract with a term until June 30, 2021. He also completed the winter preparation in Jerez de la Frontera with the professionals. In the 2017/18 season , Pfeiffer played mainly in the A-Youth in the A-Junior Bundesliga , for which he was last eligible to play this season. In addition, at the end of March 2018 he made his first appearance in the men's division in the second team in the fourth-class Regionalliga Nord .

For the 2018/19 season, Pfeiffer moved up to Christian Titz's professional squad . At the same time he was in the squad of the second team. Until the winter break, Pfeiffer made it into the matchday squad of a second division game neither under Titz nor under his successor Hannes Wolf and was the fifth fit regular central defender in the professional squad behind Rick van Drongelen , David Bates , Léo Lacroix and Stephan Ambrosius . Instead, he was used 12 times in the Regionalliga Nord. In the meantime, Pfeiffer was also absent for 2 months because of a split shoulder joint . Due to his good performance in the second team, he completed the winter preparation again with the professionals. While Pfeiffer did not appear in the professionals during the entire season, he played 22 times in the Regionalliga Nord and scored 2 goals.

SV Darmstadt 98

For the 2019/20 season, Pfeiffer moved to second division competitor SV Darmstadt 98 , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 30, 2022. Pfeiffer made his debut under head coach Dimitrios Grammozis on matchday 15 as a substitute in the 2nd Bundesliga . In the further course of the season he came on 6 more missions (2 times from the start) in which he scored a goal.

National team

Pfeiffer played two games for the German U18 team between April and May 2017 . In November 2017 and April 2018 he played two U19 friendly matches .
