Tobias Kempe (born June 27, 1989 in Wesel ) is a German soccer player . It can be used in midfield or in the storm .

Career

In the club

Kempe started playing football at TV Voerde . From there he moved first to SuS 09 Dinslaken , then to Borussia Mönchengladbach and finally to Werder Bremen . Here he was North German U-19 champion in 2007 .

For the 2008/09 season he moved up to the squad of the second senior team and made his professional league debut in the third division on matchday 5 in the 1: 3 away defeat at FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt , when he played for Philipp in the 80th minute Bargfrede was substituted. In the further course of the series, he initially remained a supplementary player and was substituted on a total of ten times by the 35th matchday. Then, however, he gave his starting debut in the away game at Wacker Burghausen , which ended 2-2, and was then always used from the start in the last games of the season. He scored his first goal in senior football on the penultimate match day in Bremen against the Stuttgarter Kickers to the 2-0 final score, after he had already prepared Max Kruse's opening goal . In the end, this victory was enough for Werder to stay close to their league, despite a 0: 1 defeat by Fortunen from Düsseldorf in the last game of the season.

In 2009/10 Kempe started again as a substitute, but got significantly more playing time than in his first season. He was used in almost all games and was in the starting line-up several times. After he returned from the Junior World Championship in 2009 (see below ), because of which he was not available for two games in the meantime, he secured a regular place from the 14th match day and was used in all games from this point on. In his 34 games he increased his goal count to three hits. With his team he was still almost exclusively in the lower half of the table, but this time he was able to secure the non-relegation early.

For the 2010/11 season Kempe decided against an extension of his expiring contract, which was offered to him and he moved to the 2nd Bundesliga for promoted FC Erzgebirge Aue free of charge . He received the "Veilchen", against whom he scored the 2-1 winning goal for Bremen on the last match day of the previous season and thus contributed to the fact that the Auer had to give the VfL Osnabrück the precedence in the fight for the third division championship a contract until 2012. For the 2012/13 season Kempe joined SC Paderborn 07 . During the winter break of the same season, he moved to league rivals Dynamo Dresden .

In the 2014/15 season , Kempe was signed by the second division club SV Darmstadt 98 . For this he scored the important victory on May 24, 2015 (34th matchday) with the goal for the 1-0 final score in the 71st minute, which meant the return after 33 years in the Bundesliga and the Karlsruher SC and 1 . FC Kaiserslautern kept one point or three points away.

For the 2016/17 season Kempe moved to the second division club 1. FC Nürnberg .

For the 2017/18 season Kempe returned to the first division relegated SV Darmstadt 98 . On May 7, 2020, he extended his expiring contract until 2021.

National team

In 2007 Kempe was appointed to a DFB junior team for the first time . After two games for the U-18 national team , he played for the U-20 national team from 2008 and took part in the 2009 Junior World Cup with her . There he played a total of three games, where he was substituted once and once. In the round of 16 against Nigeria's selection, he was sent off in the 64th minute for "rough play". The decision was described as "unjustified" on the Sportschau website , but it still prevented Kempe's involvement in the quarter-finals, in the 2-1 defeat after extra time against the Brazilian juniors.

successes

  • Runner-up in the 2nd Bundesliga and promotion to the Bundesliga in 2015 (with SV Darmstadt 98)
  • North German U-19 champion 2007 (with Werder Bremen)
