Marcel "Cello" Reichwein (born February 21, 1986 in Hadamar ) is a German football player . The striker is under contract with Holzwickeder SC and will move to Türkspor Dortmund as an amateur for the 2020/21 season.

Career

In his youth, Reichwein played for Sportfreunde Eisbachtal and moved to Bayer 04 Leverkusen at the age of 15 . With the club's U19 he played in the A-Jugend-Bundesliga West and scored 21 goals in 20 games in his second year. After his youth he moved to the senior division of the club and played for one season in the second team in the Regionalliga Nord . In 2006 he moved within the league to Wuppertaler SV Borussia . After just one goal in ten games in the first year, the striker was loaned out to league rivals Kickers Emden after the 3rd matchday of the 2007/08 season together with his teammate Thomas Litjens . Although he was mostly only a substitute in the first half of the season and only played three times over the full season in the second half of the season, he scored ten goals in his 30 appearances for the East Frisians.

After the season with the Kickers he returned to Wuppertal at the beginning of the 2008/09 season. Borussia had qualified for the single-track 3rd division the year before - just like Emden . In the new professional league he was able to assert himself successfully as a regular player and played in 36 of the 38 season games, where he scored seven goals. He then moved one league higher to the second division Rot Weiss Ahlen for the 2009/10 season . At the winter break, however, the team was only eight points behind in last place. The Ahlen team upgraded their storm with four new players and Reichwein switched to third division club SSV Jahn Regensburg with immediate effect . However, he only stayed there until the end of the season.

On July 12, 2010 it was announced that Marcel Reichwein had signed a two-year contract with FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt . That was where his most successful time came. In the first year he played almost every game and scored 12 times as the team's top scorer. In the 2011/12 season he remained a reliable force in the storm and was the top scorer in the third division with 17 goals and five assists.

In summer 2012 he did not extend his expiring contract with Erfurt; instead he moved to VfR Aalen , who had previously been promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga . With the Aalen, he signed a two-year contract. In the following 2012/13 season, Reichwein made 29 appearances, but only played six times over the full 90 minutes. Although nominally the only striker in a 4-5-1 system in his appearances , he actually played a lot over the flanks in midfield in the defensively oriented game concept of the promoted player, so that he only scored five goals and four assists over the entire season. In the following 2013/14 season he played the first four games from the start, but then lost his regular place. He made a total of 21 appearances in the course of the season, but was mostly substituted in the final stages and was only in the starting line-up three more times, scoring just two goals and two assists.

After his contract with the Aalen team expired, Reichwein moved to the third division Prussia Münster in the summer of 2014 . With the ambitious Westphalia, he failed twice in promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. After two years and 18 goals for the Prussians, he left the club in the summer of 2016 on a free transfer. For the season 2016/17 changed Reichwein the second representation of the VfL Wolfsburg in the Regionalliga Nord . For the 2017/18 season, the western regional division KFC Uerdingen announced the commitment of Reichwein.

After he was promoted to the 3rd division with the KFC , he was released from work by coach Stefan Krämer before the start of the new season. On January 29, 2019, Reichwein was signed by the regional league club TSV Steinbach Haiger , but only stayed there until the end of the season.

In July 2019, Holzwickeder SC from the Oberliga Westfalen announced the commitment of Reichwein. Until the season break ordered due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the striker had 19 league games in which he scored nine goals. After the season he will move to the district league club Türkspor Dortmund in summer 2020.
