Kai Brünker (born June 10, 1994 in Villingen-Schwenningen ) is a German soccer player who is under contract with the current third division club 1. FC Magdeburg . He mainly plays as a center forward .

Career

Kai Brünker played in his youth for FC Kappel, SV Zimmer and finally since the A-youth for FC 08 Villingen . In 2015 he switched to SC Freiburg II , whose team was playing in the regional league at the time. Brünker scored one goal in 15 games, in the end he was relegated to the top division with SC Freiburg II. In this Brünker became a regular player: in 33 games he scored 17 goals. At the end of the season, the championship and promotion to the Regionalliga Südwest was certain. In the following season 2017/18 he played 20 games for the amateurs of SC Freiburg and scored eight goals.

On January 22nd, 2018 Brünker moved to Bradford City in League One , the third highest English division. He made his debut for Bradford City on January 27, 2018 when he came on as a 68th-minute substitute in the game against AFC Wimbledon .

In January 2019, after 26 games in the English League One , Brünker left Bradford City for Germany and joined the third division club SG Sonnenhof Großaspach . After the club was relegated to fourth class in 2020, he moved to 1. FC Magdeburg .
