Dominik Ernst (born August 8, 1990 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German soccer player .
Career
After working at Schalke 04, Bochum and RW Essen, Ernst moved to SpVgg Erkenschwick in 2007 . At the game association he joined the first team for the 2009/10 season. In his first season he played all 34 league games of the sixth-class Westphalia league . He also became champion with Erkenschwick and rose to the then NRW League (5th league).
For Dominik Ernst, however, things went one league higher in the 2010/11 season. He moved to the Regionalliga West for Wuppertaler SV. However, he only played one season in Wuppertal and played 17 games, scoring one goal.
In the summer of 2011 he moved within RL West to the 2nd team of Schalke 04. Here Ernst was a regular player and played 58 league games before he left and scored three goals. Overall, he played two seasons with the second representation of Schalke 04. On July 24, 2013, his move to the previous year's champion of RL West Sportfreunde Lotte was announced. At the end of the 2013/14 season he was runner-up with Lotte in RL West. In addition to his appearances in the league, Ernst also played two games in the Westphalia Cup .
At the beginning of the 2014/15 season, Ernst moved to Alemannia Aachen. In his first season at Aachen he was again runner-up in the RL West. On August 8, 2015, he saw the red card in the match against Borussia Mönchengladbach II in stoppage time. Because of insulting the referee he was suspended for 4 weeks and thus missed 4 games in the league. In his last season in Aachen, he was team captain in a few games. In addition to the league games, he also played in the Middle Rhine Cup , where he was always eliminated early with the Alemannia.
On July 1, 2017, Ernst moved to Fortuna Cologne. He made his debut in the 3rd division on July 22, 2017, the 1st matchday. In the 1-0 win against VfR Aalen , he was on the pitch for over 90 minutes and was a regular player straight away. His contract with Fortuna ran until June 30, 2019 and was not extended after relegation to the regional league.
For the 2019/20 season, the defender remained in the 3rd division and joined 1.FC Magdeburg , who had been relegated from the second division , with whom he received a contract valid until June 2021.
