The A-Junioren-Bundesliga 2011/12 was the ninth season of the A-Junioren-Bundesliga .

As in the previous eight seasons, it was played in the North / Northeast, South / Southwest and West seasons. At the end of the season, the three season winners and the runner-up of the North / Northeast season played for the German A-Youth Championship . The semi-finals were played back and forth, the final in one game. The three last-placed teams of the three seasons relegated to the subordinate leagues.

VfL Wolfsburg started the season as the reigning German champions . FC Schalke 04 became German junior champions, who defeated FC Bayern Munich 2-1 in the final.

Season north / northeast

A-Juniors-Bundesliga 2011/12 (North / Northeast relay)

As champions of the A-Youth Regional Leagues North and Northeast of the preseason, FC St. Pauli and Rot-Weiß Erfurt take part as direct promoters in the A-Junior Bundesliga. The runners-up of both regional leagues , VfL Oldenburg and Carl Zeiss Jena, played the third promoted team in a relegation , with Oldenburg eventually reaching the A-Junior Bundesliga.

A-Juniors-Bundesliga 2011/12 (Relay South / Southwest)

As direct climbers from the subordinate leagues, SpVgg Unterhaching came from the A-Youth Bayern League and Waldhof Mannheim from the A-Youth Upper League Baden-Württemberg in the A-Junior Bundesliga. The promotion aspirants of the A-Jugend-Regionalliga Südwest and the A-Jugend-Oberliga Hessen played the third climber in a relegation , with the Südwest representative 1. FC Saarbrücken prevailing against the Hessian club Kickers Offenbach.
