René Klingenburg (born December 29, 1993 in Oberhausen ) is a German soccer player who is under contract with third division club FC Viktoria Köln .

Career

youth

Klingenburg played football in his hometown of Oberhausen from 1997 to 2008. His first stop was SV Post Oberhausen, which he left in 2004 for the former Bundesliga club Rot-Weiß Oberhausen . Four years later, Klingenburg moved to MSV Duisburg . After two years he left the club and moved to FC Schalke 04 in Gelsenkirchen . With this he managed to win the German A youth championship in 2012.

Men's

In 2013 Klingenburg received a contract for the Schalke first team. However, he only played for their second team in the Regionalliga West . This was followed by stints at FC Viktoria Köln and Rot Weiss Ahlen before he returned to Schalke's second representation in January 2017.

In the summer of 2018, the third division Preußen Münster signed Klingenburg. On July 28, 2018, he made his professional debut in the game at Fortuna Köln and scored two goals in the 4-1 win for the Münster team. The midfielder did not extend his contract, which expired in spring 2019, and signed a contract with Dynamo Dresden that was valid until June 2022 for the 2019/20 second division season .
