Lucas Cueto (born March 24, 1996 in Cologne ) is a German football player . The left winger is under contract with third division club FC Viktoria Köln .

Personal

Cueto grew up as the child of two doctors in the Cologne district of Widdersdorf . His father has Spanish roots. From 2006 Cueto attended the Abbey-Gymnasium in Brauweiler , where he graduated from high school in 2014 with a grade point average of 1.3. In the meantime he completed a year abroad in England.

Career

Cueto moved in 2004 from SV Lövenich / Widdersdorf to the youth department of Bayer 04 Leverkusen . In 2011 he played at West Ham United while abroad and came to 1. FC Köln via Bonner SC in January 2014 . In the 2013/14 season he scored 19 goals, eight for Bonn and eleven for Cologne, in the A-Junioren-Bundesliga, West Season , making him the top scorer. From the 2014/15 season he made a total of 42 appearances for Cologne's second team in the Regionalliga West and scored eleven goals. In February 2016, Cueto moved to the Swiss Super League club FC St. Gallen . On March 7, 2016, he made his debut in a 2-0 home win against Grasshopper Club Zurich in the Super League.

For the 2017/18 season , Cueto moved to the third division Prussia Münster . There he came in three seasons to 56 missions with 9 goals. For the 2020/21 season , Cueto was signed by league rivals FC Viktoria Köln .

National team

After Cueto had already made six appearances with one goal for the German U18 team , he took part in the U19 European Championship in Greece in July 2015 with the U19 national team. There he was used in all three games in the group stage, which the team finished bottom of the group. In total, he played eleven times for the U19s and scored four goals.

In March 2016, Cueto played twice for the U20 national team.
