Sead Hajrović (born June 4, 1993 in Brugg , Switzerland ) is a Bosnian - Swiss football player . The central defender is under contract with FC Viktoria Köln in Germany and has played international matches for Swiss youth national teams and the U21s in Bosnia-Herzegovina . His brother Izet is also a professional footballer.
Career

In his youth Hajrović first played for the Grasshopper Club Zurich. In 2009, when he was still young, he moved to the youth academy of Arsenal FC in England . For the Gunners , the central defender came to his first appearances in the club's U23 and was awarded to the fourth division club FC Barnet for the second half of the 2011/12 season. After his return, he continued to play for Arsenal's second team and was one of the pros in the group stage of the 2012/13 UEFA Champions League .
The Bosnian returned to his training club, the Grasshopper Club Zurich, in the summer of 2013 with no prospect of being taken on to the first team. He was used twice in the Super League and five times for the U21s. After a sale to the second division club FC Winterthur , the defender came as a regular player to 67 of 72 possible league games.
Hajrović was also regularly on the field in two years at league rivals FC Wohlen . He left the club following the 2017/18 season , after which the club decided for financial reasons to play in the third-rate Promotion League the following season , and returned to Winterthur.
After 50 more competitive games in the Challenge League and in the Cup , the Bosnian moved to German third division club FC Viktoria Köln during the 2019/20 winter break .
National team
From the U15 to the U19, Hajrović played 31 games for Swiss junior national teams. With the U17 he won the 2009 world championship in Nigeria .
He later decided to play for the Bosnian-Herzegovinian U21 .
