Leopold Zingerle (born April 10, 1994 in Munich ) is a German soccer goalkeeper who has been under contract with SC Paderborn 07 since the 2017/18 season .

Career

societies

Zingerle started playing soccer in the youth department of FC Bayern Munich and was active in the A-youth from 2011 to 2013 . He played 42 point games in the South / Southwest relay of the A-Juniors Bundesliga and played five games for the German A-Youth Championship in 2012 and 2013 .

For the 2013/14 season he moved up to the second team , for which he played 50 point games in the fourth-class Bavarian regional league until August 31, 2015 and was also the fourth goalkeeper in the Bundesliga team during this time .

For the 2015/16 season he was signed by SpVgg Greuther Fürth , for whose second team he played twelve point games in the Regionalliga Bayern.

He played his first league game on September 25, 2016 (9th matchday) in the 3-0 victory of 1. FC Magdeburg , which had signed him at the start of the season, over SV Wehen Wiesbaden . He made his competitive debut on August 21, 2016 in the first main round of the DFB Cup , in which he and the team were eliminated from the competition 3: 4 on penalties against Eintracht Frankfurt .

For the 2017/18 season he was signed by third division club SC Paderborn 07 and given a contract valid until June 30, 2019. With SC Paderborn, he rose to the 2nd Bundesliga in his debut season. With all 34 league games he contributed to the promotion to the Bundesliga , in which he made his debut on October 5, 2019 (7th matchday) in the 1: 2 defeat in the home game against 1. FSV Mainz 05 . At the end of the season, however, he rose again with the team.

National team

Zingerle played three international matches for the national team of the DFB from 2012 to 2013 . He made his debut on May 24, 2012 in Eilenburg for the U18 national team in a 3-2 victory over Russia . On March 25, 2013 he guarded the goal of the U19 national team in Wuppertal in the 2-0 victory over the Ukraine and on September 10, 2013 he played for the U20 national team in Wohlen in the 0-1 defeat against the Selection of Switzerland .
