Marlon Ritter (born October 15, 1994 in Essen ) is a German soccer player . The winger is under contract with SC Paderborn 07 .

Career

In 2002, Ritter moved from SpVg Schonnebeck to the youth department of FC Schalke 04 . After playing for the Essen SG 99/06 for half a year , he joined Rot-Weiss Essen in July 2009 . 2011 joined Knight in the youth academy of Borussia Monchengladbach . There he moved up to the second team for the 2012/13 season . In the 2014/15 season he won the Regionalliga West with the team , but missed promotion to the 3rd division in the subsequent playoffs against Werder Bremen II . In the 2015/16 season , Ritter was the top scorer with 23 goals . He has also been in the first team's squad since July 2014 and was even appointed to the Gladbach Champions League squad in the 2015/16 season .

For the 2016/17 season , Ritter moved to the second division Fortuna Düsseldorf . On August 6, 2016, he made his debut in a 2-2 draw against SV Sandhausen in the 2nd Bundesliga.

For the 2017/18 season , Ritter switched to the then third division club SC Paderborn 07 on loan . Ritter contributed 14 hits in 29 league appearances to promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. For the 2018/19 season , SC Paderborn acquired the transfer rights to Ritter and provided him with a contract that runs until June 30, 2021. With the club he managed to march through to the first division as second in the table, from which the East Westphalia had to start again at the end of the following season, however, in the second division.
