Kangni Frederic Ananou (born September 20, 1997 in Munich ) is a German soccer player . The center and right-back has been playing for FC Ingolstadt 04 since the 2017/18 season .
Career
youth
Ananou was born in Munich as the son of a former diplomat from Togo . His first football club was the TV Rheindorf from Bonn . In 2006 he moved to the 1st youth soccer school in Cologne and, due to his talent, six months later to the youth division of 1. FC Cologne . There he went through all youth teams up to U19.
In the 2014/15 season as a younger U-19 player and 2015/16 he played 35 times in the U-19 Bundesliga for Cologne and scored a total of three goals.
Roda Kerkrade
Frederic Ananou signed a two-year contract with the Dutch first division club Roda Kerkrade in July 2016 . There he made his competitive debut on August 7, 2016 in the first division game against Heracles Almelo .
FC Ingolstadt
On January 24, 2018 Ananou signed with the German second division club FC Ingolstadt for three and a half years. He scored his first professional goal in the 2-2 draw against MSV Duisburg on November 3, 2018, the 12th matchday of the 2018/19 season.
National team
Ananou made his debut for the German U-19 national team on March 26, 2016 in a friendly against South Korea . For the subsequent U-19 European Championship, however, he was not nominated due to injury. On August 26, 2016, Frederic Ananou was appointed to the squad of the U-20 national team. There he made his debut on September 1, 2016 in a friendly against Italy .
On May 10, 2017, Ananou was appointed to the squad for the 2017 U-20 World Cup in South Korea .
