Caniggia Ginola Elva (born July 14, 1996 in Vieux Fort ) is a Lucian - Canadian soccer player who is under contract with FC Ingolstadt 04 . He is the son of former Lucian national player Titus Elva .

After leaving his native St. Lucia in 2007, Caniggia Elva was trained with Calgary Southwest United in Canada . In November 2013 Elva completed a trial training session at VfB Stuttgart and was then accepted into the Stuttgart youth academy. Caniggia Elva received a professional contract dated until 2018 with the Swabians, which he signed on his 18th birthday. As a citizen of St. Lucia he was not eligible to play in the U-19 Bundesliga or for the second team of VfB Stuttgart , he was awarded to Racing Strasbourg on February 2, 2015 until the end of the 2014/15 season , where However, he only came to a few missions in the reserve team. For the 2015/16 season he was added to the squad of the third division team of VfB after he was made a Canadian citizen on Canada's national holiday .

On August 29, 2015 Caniggia Elva made his professional debut with VfB Stuttgart II on the 6th match day of the 2015/16 season against FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt in the 3rd professional league . He scored his first league goal on February 26, 2016 (27th matchday) in a 1-1 draw against Halleschen FC when he scored the equalizer.

On September 4, 2018, Elva signed a one-year contract with third division club Würzburger Kickers with an option for another season, which was not drawn after the season. With the Franks he won the Bavarian Cup .

National team
