Maximilian Wolfram (born February 21, 1997 in Zwickau ) is a German soccer player .

Career

Wolfram played for FSV Zwickau in his youth and at the age of 14 moved to the talent center at FC Carl Zeiss Jena , where he also made his first appearances in adult football in the Regionalliga Nordost . With Jena he was promoted to the 3rd division in the 2017/18 season and had his first appearance in professional football on July 22, 2017 in the game against SV Wehen Wiesbaden . Overall, he was in his first third division season in 30 games for the Thuringian team and scored 6 goals. After the game against the 2nd team of SV Werder Bremen on the 35th matchday, Wolfram was elected by the kicker in the team of the league matchday . At the end of the season he was still able to win the Thuringian State Cup with his club and thus participation in the DFB Cup for the 2018/19 season, scoring 2 goals in a 5-0 win in the final against BSG Wismut Gera .

In the 3rd league season 2018/19 Wolfram scored 8 goals in 31 games for Carl-Zeiss. He is particularly considered one of the team's most important players in the relegation battle. After the club was still 8 points behind a non-relegation place 7 match days before the end of the season, they were able to keep the division with 6 wins in the remaining games. Wolfram scored 5 goals in these and was elected to the team of the third division by the kicker on the 32nd matchday against Energie Cottbus as well as after the following matchday against Hansa Rostock . On the penultimate matchday he scored the decisive goal against SV Meppen and was involved in the 4-0 success of the last matchday against the Munich Lions with 2 goals. As a result, Wolfram was voted player of the game day in the 3rd division and one of his goals in the play-off was nominated for Goal of the Month May 2019.

After more than 100 league games for FCC , the midfielder signed a contract with relegated FC Ingolstadt 04 that was valid until June 2022 for the 2019/20 third division season .

Shortly after his departure from Jena, in July 2019, he was voted Player of the 2018/19 season for FC Carl Zeiss Jena by the Jena fans and readers of the Ostthüringer Zeitung .
