Beginnings in Austria and Munich

In 2009 he went to the academy of FC Admira Wacker Mödling in Lower Austria . In 2010 he came to Germany to the youth performance center of FC Bayern Munich . Although he was only 16 years old, he mostly played for the U19s in the A-Junioren-Bundesliga Süd / Südwest, but was out of action for a long time in the spring of 2011 due to an injury. With the team he only reached seventh place in the table. In the following season he was with nine goals in 14 league games - he again missed a few games due to injury - significantly involved in the success of the A-Juniors, who took first place in the league with six points and thus for the final round of the German A- Junior Championship was qualified. With the team he reached the final there , but it was lost to Schalke 04 . In addition, he was on the bench once during an amateur game in the fourth-class Bavarian regional league that season . He then played for half a year in the youth team before he was taken over to the second team after the winter break in 2012/13. There he scored his first goal in his first point game on March 23, 2013 in a 3-2 home win against TSV Buchbach with a 2-1 goal from a penalty kick in the 56th minute.

Via Lisbon to Poland and Austria

In the summer of 2014 he moved to the second Portuguese division to Benfica Lisbon B , the second team of the Portuguese record champions Benfica Lisbon , for which he was never used. In August of the same year he was awarded to the Polish first division club Lechia Gdańsk , with whom he finished the championship round as fourth . In 2015 it was awarded again, this time to his former youth club Austria Wien. He made his Bundesliga debut on matchday two of the 2015/16 season against SCR Altach . In July 2016, after taking part in the pre-season with Benfica, he was awarded again to Austria. In the 2016/17 season , the striker played for the club in 32 of 36 league games and scored five goals, but was unable to earn a regular place. In July 2017, Austria took him under contract without returning to Portugal.

In January 2019, he was awarded to the league competitor Wolfsberger AC until the end of the season, with whom he qualified third in the table for the group stage of the Europa League .

VfL Osnabrück

In the German 2. Bundesliga ascended VfL Osnabrück took the striker to season 2019/20 for two years under contract. Due to an operation on his knee, Friesenbichler only played six league games and played in the 2: 3 against RB Leipzig in the DFB Cup .

SK Sturm Graz

The Austrian returned home at the end of January 2020 after Osnabrück had signed another striker with Assan Ceesay , and moved to SK Sturm Graz , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2021.
