Günter Friesenbichler (born March 4, 1979 in Weiz ) is a former Austrian football player .
Career
Friesenbichler began his career at SC Weiz . Later he moved within Styria to SV Frohnleiten , from there he moved to his first professional station, SC Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz . In 2000 he returned to Styria and played for DSV Leoben . After two years with the Hochofenstadt team, the striker went to Skoda Xanthi in Greece , later he moved within the Greek league to AS Egaleo in Athens , where he was also used in the UEFA Cup .
After three years in Greece, Friesenbichler returned to Austria in 2005 and moved to the first division club SV Ried , where he made his debut in the top Austrian division, with another eight games to follow. After only six months in Upper Austria , he went to SC Austria Lustenau in the second Austrian league. There Friesenbichler moved to VfB Trenkwalder Admira Wacker in the summer of 2008 . After two and a half successful seasons, Friesenbichler left Mödlinger in January 2011 and switched to TSV Hartberg , where his brother Bruno was coach. After the interlude in Eastern Styria, he returned to the Bundesliga for two seasons and played for SC Wiener Neustadt before he followed his brother Bruno's call and returned to TSV Hartberg in summer 2013. There he ended his active career in June 2015.
