Kevin Fend (born April 8, 1990 in Hohenems ) is an Austrian football goalkeeper .

Career

Fend began his career at SCR Altach . Between 2004 and 2009 he played in AKA Vorarlberg . In 2009 he returned to Altach. In July 2009 he was against TSV Hartberg for the first time in the team of professionals in Altach. In August 2009 he made his debut against FC Kufstein for the Altacher amateurs in the Regionalliga . In his three years at Altach he did not get any assignments for the professionals; for the amateurs he completed 53 regional league games.

For the 2012/13 season he moved to league rivals SV Grödig . In July 2012, he played his first game for Grödig in the second division when he was in the starting line-up against FC Lustenau 07 on the first day of that season . With Grödig he rose to the Bundesliga at the end of the season . In the promotion season, Fend did not miss a single minute of the game. He also received the Young Star of the Year award that season .

After promotion, he made his debut in the top division in July 2013, when he played against SV Ried on the first day of the 2013/14 season . After the end of the season, Fend left Grödig after his contract was not renewed. He then moved to Germany in August 2014 for regional league club SV Elversberg , where he received a one-year contract. At Elversberg, however, he was only used for the second team in the fifth-class league .

For the 2015/16 season he moved to 1. FC Sonthofen . In his one and a half years with Sonthofen, Fend played 56 games in the fifth-class Bayernliga , in which he did not score in 19 games. In January 2017 he returned to Austria and switched to the fourth-class Dornbirner SV .
