Christopher Dibon (born November 2, 1990 in Schwechat ) is an Austrian football player . He is currently under contract with SK Rapid Wien .
Career
society
From 1998 Dibon went through the youth department of SV Schwechat before he was committed to the Südstadt performance center by FC Admira Wacker Mödling in the summer of 2002 . In autumn 2007 he became a regular in the sponsoring club's first team and, despite his position as a central defender, scored two goals in 15 games.
In spring 2008, the central defender moved to the first league (second highest division) as part of the cooperation with ASK Schwadorf . After he was able to earn a regular place at ASK Schwadorf, he returned to FC Admira Wacker Mödling after 12 appearances and the end of the loan period. There Dibon played a total of 123 missions between 2008 and 2012, 11 of them in the ÖFB Cup .
In the 2010/11 season, he made promotion to the Austrian Bundesliga with Admira . Even in the top division he was the team's captain and head of defense. Due to a broken fibula, he had to end the season early in February 2012.
At the end of the 2011/12 season, the central defender will transfer to FC Red Bull Salzburg , where he signed a long-term contract. After only seven appearances with the bulls, he switched to the Austrian record champions SK Rapid Wien on loan in the summer of 2013 .
In the 2013/14 season he made 28 national appearances in the championship and in the ÖFB Cup and 9 international appearances in the Europa League . At the end of the loan, the defender moved to SK Rapid Wien on a free transfer and signed a contract until the end of the 2016/17 season, which he extended in May 2016 to summer 2020.
National team
The defender made his debut in the Austrian U18 national football team of the juniors on October 24, 2007 against the U18 selection of Denmark . This was followed by 5 appearances and 2 goals in the Austrian U19 national soccer team of the juniors .
On February 11, 2009 he had his first of 20 appearances in Austria's U21 team . He was a regular player and captain.
On June 3, 2011 Christopher Dibon was called up for the first time in the squad of the Austrian national team by the then team boss Dietmar Constantini . On his debut in the friendly against Latvia on June 7, 2011, he headed the equalizer to make it 1-1. The game ended 3-1 for Austria. This was his only international match so far.
