Taxiarchis Foundas ( Greek Ταξιάρχης Φούντας , born September 4, 1995 in Mesolongi ) is a Greek football player .
Career
society
In 2011 Taxiarchis Foundas moved from Acheloos Neochori to AEK Athens . He made his debut for AEK on March 17, 2012 against Asteras Tripoli in the Super League . On October 28, 2012 Foundas scored his first goal in the top Greek football division in the 1-0 victory of AEK Athens against AO Platanias . After AEK Athens had to relegate to the third division due to bankruptcy, FC Red Bull Salzburg signed him . However, he was only allowed to play there at the end of August, as players under the age of 18 require individual approval from UEFA. As a cooperation player , he was also authorized to play for the farm team , FC Liefering , for which he initially appeared. In 2014 it was awarded to SV Grödig for the spring season. This was followed by a loan to Panionios Athens in the 2014/15 season. In the 2015/16 season Foundas played on loan at Asteras Tripoli, and again for Panionios in 2016/17. On September 20, 2017, Foundas joined the German third division club SG Sonnenhof Großaspach after his contract with Red Bull Salzburg had expired on June 30, 2017.
In July 2018 he returned to Austria, where he joined the Bundesliga club SKN St. Pölten , where he received a contract that ran until June 2019. For the 2019/20 season, he moved to league rivals SK Rapid Wien , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2022.
National team
In qualifying for the U-17 European Championship in 2012 , Taxiarchis Foundas made his debut for the Greek U-17 national team against Israel on October 12, 2011 , scoring a goal. Against Iceland and Switzerland , he completed two more U-17 internationals in the following five days.
In 2012 he played for the U-19 team for the first time . In 2013 he also worked for Greece's U-20 team .
He made his debut for the U-21 team in March 2015 when he started a friendly against Croatia and was replaced by Giorgos Mygas at half-time .
In June 2015 he made his debut for the senior team when he in the European Championship qualifier against the Faroe Islands in the 81st minute for Panagiotis Kone was brought into play.
