Schobesberger was in his youth with Admira Linz, SV Pasching and LASK Linz under contract from which he was awarded between 2010 and 2011 to the UFC Eferding in the Upper Austrian League . In 2011 he moved to FC Pasching , where he played in the Regionalliga Mitte in the 2011/12 and 2012/13 seasons. He came to 25 appearances in his first regional league season and scored three goals. In the 2012/13 season he came in 30 competitive games, 28 appearances and six goals. He also played in all FC Pasching cup games in the 2012/13 ÖFB Cup and won the ÖFB Cup final on May 30, 2013 with his team. After Schobesberger's contract with Pasching originally ended with the 2012/13 season, it was associated with a move to SK Sturm or FC Liefering after the cup final . Nevertheless, Schobesberger extended to Pasching until 2015 at the latest and announced his move to SK Sturm in January 2014. Ultimately, however, he signed a contract with SK Rapid until 2017 at the end of March 2014 . Since the Paschinger team renounced promotion to the "First League", Schobesberger's contract was not extended, which is why Rapid only had to pay Schobesberger a training allowance of just under 20,000 euros.

National team

On May 26, 2015, he was appointed to the senior national team for the first time . He made his national team debut on October 9, 2017, when he came on for Marko Arnautović in the 81st minute of the World Cup qualifier against Moldova .
