Ercan Kara (born January 3, 1996 ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Kara started his career at SK Slovan-Hütteldorfer AC . In November 2011 he made his debut for Slovan's first team in the Vienna City League when he came on as a substitute for Burak Özbek on matchday 13 of the 2011/12 season against Nussdorfer AC in the 60th minute. By the end of the season he had ten missions. In May 2013 he scored his first goal in the fourth-highest division in a 3-2 defeat against Post SV Wien . In the 2012/13 season he came to 28 missions in which he scored a goal; with Slovan he had to relegate to the end of the season as the penultimate from the city league. In the 2013/14 season he scored in the league 32 goals in 27 games, but the resurgence he missed with his team with the seventh place in the standings significantly.

For the 2014/15 season he moved to the third-class amateurs of the Bundesliga club FK Austria Wien . In August 2014 he made his debut in the Regionalliga when he came on as a substitute for Marko Kvasina in the 86th minute against SV Neuberg on the third matchday of that season . He scored his first goal in the Regionalliga in April 2015 in a 1-1 draw against SKU Amstetten . In his first season with Austria he made 16 appearances for the amateurs, in which he scored a goal. It was used four times in the 2015/16 season.

For the 2016/17 season he moved to fourth-class FC Karabakh Vienna . For Karabakh he scored 35 goals in 30 games that season and rose with the club as champion of the Vienna City League in the Regionalliga. His 35 goals also made him the top scorer in the city league. In the 2017/18 season he played 29 games in the Regionalliga and scored 26 goals, making him the top scorer in the Regionalliga Ost. Karabakh was renamed FC Mauerwerk for the 2018/19 season . He played 28 games for Masonry that season and scored 22 goals, making him top scorer for the third time in a row.

For the 2019/20 season he moved to the second division club SV Horn . He made his debut in the second division in July 2019 when he was in the starting line-up against the second team of FK Austria Wien on the first day of that season. In the game that Horn won 5-1, he also scored his first two second division goals. For Horn he came to 16 second division appearances, in which he scored 13 goals.

In January 2020 Kara switched to Bundesliga club SK Rapid Wien , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2022.
