Tamás Szántó (born February 18, 1996 in Sopron ) is a Hungarian football player .

Career

Szántó began his career in his hometown with FC Sopron . Then he came to Austria for SK Rapid Vienna . At Rapid he also played in the academy. In November 2013 he made his debut against the Viennese sports club in the Regionalliga for the second team.

In February 2016 he was part of the professional squad for the first time. He made his Bundesliga debut in July 2016 on the second match day of the 2016/17 season against SCR Altach , when he came on for Arnór Ingvi Traustason in the 63rd minute .

Personal

His father Csaba was also a soccer player and played for Rába ETO and Sopron in the NB I.
