Career

society

Demir started his career at First Vienna FC . For the 2013/14 season he moved to SK Rapid Vienna , where he would later play in the academy. In May 2019 Demir received a contract with Rapid that runs until June 2022. A few days after the contract extension, he made his debut on May 31, 2019 at the age of 15, two days before his 16th birthday, for Rapid's amateurs in the Regionalliga , when he played against Wiener Sport on matchday 29 of the 2018/19 season Club was substituted on for Ivan Močinić in the 66th minute .

After two games for the amateurs, Demir moved up to Rapid's professional squad for the 2019/20 season. In August 2019, he scored his first goal in the Regionalliga in a 3-0 win against SC Wiener Viktoria . In November 2019, he was finally against SK Sturm Graz for the first time in the game squad of the professionals from Rapid. He made his debut for this in the Bundesliga in December 2019 when he came on as a substitute for Thomas Murg on the 18th matchday of the 2019/20 season against FC Admira Wacker Mödling in the 82nd minute . That mission made him the first player born in 2003 in the Bundesliga; At the time, not even a player born in 2002 had played in the league. He also became the youngest player of SK Rapid Wien in the Bundesliga.

National team

Demir played for the Austrian U-15 team between October 2017 and May 2018 . In eight games he scored ten goals. He skipped the U-16 team and so he played for the U-17 team for the first time against Cyprus in September 2018 . In the game that Austria won 3-1, he also scored his first goal for the U-17s.
