Zeljko Radovic (born April 6, 1974 in Vienna ) is a former Austrian football player and now coach .
Career
As a player
The striker Radovic began his career in the youth of First Vienna FC . After a six-month loan from SR Donaufeld Wien , he played in the first team of Vienna in the second Austrian league from 1994 . Three years later he reached the final of the ÖFB Cup with the Viennese , but they lost it 1: 2 against SK Sturm Graz . At the end of the season, Radovic was named Footballer of the Year in the First League in 1997 and moved to the Bundesliga club Grazer AK , with whom he won the ÖFB Cup in 2000. Due to his good performance, Radovic was called up for the first time under Otto Barić in the Austrian national football team , in which he completed his first and only international match for Austria on August 16, 2000 in a 1-1 away draw against Hungary. He then moved to SK Rapid Vienna and a year later to SV Ried .
After Rieder's relegation from the Bundesliga in 2003, Radovic moved to the German second division Arminia Bielefeld . He was promoted to the Bundesliga with Arminia in the 2003/04 season , but was only used in Bielefeld's second team in the following season . Radovic then returned to Austria and joined Kapfenberger SV . In 2007 Radovic then went to regional league club SV Wienerberger , before ending his career with the amateur clubs IC Favoriten , Landstraßer AC , SC Team Wiener Linien and SC Leopoldsdorf .
As a trainer
Radovic ended his career in 2011. From 2011 to March 2019 he worked as a youth coach at SK Rapid Vienna. In March 2019 he took over the second team from Rapid, which played in the Regionalliga Ost . With this he rose to the 2nd division in 2020.
