Ronald "Ronny" Brunmayr (born February 17, 1975 in Steyr ) is a former Austrian football player and current coach .
Career
As a player
The striker began his career at SV Garsten. His first professional team was the SK Vorwärts Steyr . Brunmayr's next club was FC Linz . After the merger with LASK , he moved to FK Austria Wien . After he couldn't prevail at Austria, he went to SV Ried for the first time . After successful seasons he stayed in the Innviertel until 2000 . From 2000 to 2003 he played very successfully at the Grazer AK , with whom he won the 2002 Cup and Supercup, scored Soccer Player of the Year 2001 and the Goal of the Year (audience vote) in 2001. In 2003, the striker moved to local rivals SK Sturm Graz , where he was unable to perform as expected. After two new seasons at SV Ried (2005/06 and 2006/07), he moved to the second-class FC Kärnten during the summer break in 2007 . From 2008 to 2011 Brunmayr played at the current third-class FC Pasching and switched to his home club, SV Garsten, during the 2010/11 winter break, where he ended his career in 2012.
Brunmayr played eight times for the Austrian national team and scored one goal. He made his debut on August 16, 2000 in Budapest in a 1-1 draw against Hungary .
As a trainer
From 2012 to 2015 Brunmayr trained at AKA Linz . In the summer of 2015 he became the coach of the third-rate syndicate FC Pasching / LASK Juniors , which was renamed LASK Juniors OÖ in 2017 . With Juniors OÖ he rose to the 2nd league in 2018 , where from then on they competed as FC Juniors OÖ with an independent team.
Brunmayr returned to AKA Linz during the winter break of the 2018/19 season. For the 2019/20 season he switched back to the Juniors OÖ as assistant coach to Gerald Scheiblehner . In the winter break of that season he left the Juniors Upper Austria again. In January 2020 he became the coach of FC Blau-Weiß Linz .
