Roland Kollmann (born October 8, 1976 in Villach ) is a former Austrian football player . He achieved his greatest successes as a striker at the Grazer AK .
Career
Kollmann started his football career at his home club SC Landskron . His further career initially took him to Innsbruck for FC Tirol Innsbruck. After a serious injury, suffered in one of his first games for Tiroler FC, he moved to the second-class FC Kärnten , where he made a significant contribution to promotion to the top division in the 2000/01 season under coach Walter Schachner .
In 2001 he moved to the Dutch club Twente Enschede. After two injuries and the associated moderate successes in the Eredivisie , he was committed to the Grazer AK (GAK) by manager Günther Koschak during the 2001/02 winter break . After Walter Schachner, his former sponsor, was hired as a trainer, he celebrated his greatest successes. He was the top scorer in the 2003/04 season and champion and cup winner in the same year .
After the 2006/07 season, the striker moved to SK Austria Kärnten . After a year in Carinthia, he returned to the GAK. After he scored six goals in twelve league appearances in the first season after his return and barely made it to the first division with his team, he played in 27 championship games in the 2009/10 season and scored 25 goals.
In 2011, his contract was not renewed. In January 2012 Kollmann moved to SVG Bleiburg, a team in the Carinthian regional league .
Trainer
On April 3, 2012, Kollmann took over the vacant position after the resignation of Miha Kreutz as head coach at Bleiburg (with Co. Mario Petschnig) and played this championship games until 2012.
Trivia
In January 2013, Roland Kollmann moved to Klagenfurt's AC in the Lower League East (5th division), but did not appear in any championship game there and ended his career as a football player. - He has currently been the director of Floridians FC , the so-called "Schulz Academy", since 2013 (source: "Kronenzeitung Kärnten" from February 2, 2017, page 72, text on transfers at Austria Klagenfurt, and English-language Wikipedia).
National team
Kollmann completed eleven missions for the Austrian national team , in which he scored four goals. He made his international debut on September 6, 2003 in qualifying for the 2004 European Championship against the Netherlands .
