Benjamin Sulimani (born September 26, 1988 in Wels ) is an Austrian football player of Albanian origin on the position of a striker .
Career
society
Sulimani, whose brother Emin played in Linz and at FK Austria Wien , began his career at WSC Hertha Wels , from where he joined the youth team at SV Ried in 2001 . After five years in the Innviertel , he moved to Germany in 2006 for half a year in the youth department of the second division club SpVgg Greuther Fürth .
After four months in the Fürth U-19s, he came to the then Austrian second division club Kapfenberger SV , where he was able to book seven missions and one goal. The following season he played in Burgenland at SC-ESV Parndorf 1919 , but could not prevent Parndorf's relegation and left the club in the direction of Vorarlberg to SC Austria Lustenau . Sulimani was active there for half a year and then moved to FK Austria Wien. There he was used almost without exception in the first division in the second team. On April 26, 2009 he made his debut in the Austrian Bundesliga under coach Karl Daxbacher in the Vienna derby against SK Rapid Vienna . The striker was substituted on for Mario Bazina in the 87th minute when Rapid was already in the lead with the later final score 3-2.
In the summer of 2010, Benjamin Sulimani moved to FC Admira Wacker Mödling in the second-class first division . In his first season with Admira, the striker scored 19 goals in 34 games, was the top scorer and celebrated promotion to the Bundesliga with the Südstadt team .
After his contract with FC Admira Wacker Mödling was not renewed in the summer of 2013, Benjamin Sulimani moved to the Norwegian Tippeligaen to Viking Stavanger , but returned to Admira at the beginning of 2014.
After one and a half years with Admira, Sulimani's contract was no longer renewed, which is why he moved to SV Grödig in June 2015 without a transfer.
After Grödig retired from professional football, he moved to second division SV Horn in the summer of 2016 , where he received a contract that was valid until June 2017.
After relegation from the second division, he left Horn in the summer of 2017. In January 2018, he moved to the fourth-class SV Stripfing .
National team
Internationally, Benjamin Sulimani has played four times for the U-20 selection of the Austrian national team . Since 2009 he has been in the squad of the Austrian U-21 national soccer team , for which he has so far played in a game and scored a goal.
