Emin Sulimani (born August 4, 1986 in Wels ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

In January 2004 the midfielder signed a two-year contract with Bundesliga club SV Ried , having previously played for Eintracht Wels and LASK Linz . In Ried he quickly became a regular player and was able to become Austrian runner- up in 2007 , and Josef Hickersberger called him up to an international match for the Austrian national team , but not used him. This was followed by a move to FK Austria Wien , with which he won the Austrian Cup in 2009. Sulimani played through in the final. In the 2009/10 season Sulimani came to 24 appearances in the Bundesliga, in which he scored two goals. Sulimani rejected an offer to extend his expiring contract and was officially adopted by the club at the last game of the season.

Sulimani signed a contract with the Austrian Bundesliga club LASK Linz in August 2010 and is thus returning to his youth club.

After LASK's relegation in the 2010/11 season, Sulimani moved to his younger brother Benjamin's club, FC Trenkwalder Admira , where his contract was no longer renewed in August 2012. Sulimani played 14 times for Austria's U-21s and scored three goals. He was nominated once for the Austrian national team, but was not used. In May 2010 Sulimani announced that he wanted to play for the Macedonia national team in the future.
