Harun Sulimani (born August 3, 1991 in Wels ) is an Austrian football player of Albanian descent.

Career

Sulimani started his career at WSC Hertha Wels . In 2001 he moved to ESV Wels . In 2003 he joined the youth team at SV Ried , where he later played in the academy. For the 2007/08 season he switched to the FC Red Bull Salzburg academy , but returned to the Rieder Academy in October 2007.

For the 2009/10 season he moved to the regional division Wiener Sportklub . In August 2009 he made his debut in the Regionalliga when he was in the starting line-up against SC Zwettl on the second day of that season and was replaced by Daniel Gröss in the 54th minute. Sulimani scored the first two goals in the game that the Viennese won 5-0. By the end of the season he made 25 regional league appearances for the Viennese, in which he scored five goals.

For the 2010/11 season he moved to FC Blau-Weiß Linz . With the Linzers he was able to become runner-up in the Regionalliga Mitte behind the amateurs of LASK that season and thus qualify for the relegation to the second division . In this one defeated WSG Wattens on penalties after a victory and a defeat and thus fixed the promotion. Sulimani completed 29 games in the Regionalliga in the promotion season and scored seven goals, in the relegation he was used in both games. After promotion he made his debut in the second division in July 2011 when he came on as a substitute for Stefan Rabl on the fifth match day of the 2011/12 season against SKN St. Pölten in the 84th minute . In April 2012, he scored his first goal in the second-highest division in a 2-0 win against Wolfsberger AC . The second season in the second division he finished with the club on the last place in the table, but by the forced relegation of FC Lustenau 07 they qualified for the relegation. In this, however, they lost both games against SC-ESV Parndorf in 1919 . In the two years in the second division Sulimani completed 42 games in which he scored seven goals. Even after relegation, he stayed with the club and completed 22 regional league games in the 2013/14 season, in which he scored eight goals.

After four years in the Upper Austrian capital, he moved to Germany for the 2014/15 season for regional league team Wacker Burghausen . In his six months at Burghausen, he played nine games in the Regionalliga Bayern , in which he scored two goals. In January 2015 he returned to Austria and switched to the regional league team Union Vöcklamarkt . At the end of the season he had to relegate with the club as the penultimate from the regional league, ten points were missing on a non-relegation place. Until relegation Sulimani was used in 13 regional league games and scored four goals.

After relegation, he moved to SV Wallern for the 2015/16 season . At the end of the season he and Wallern have to be relegated to the second to last from the regional league, as in the previous season with Vöcklamarkt. He played a total of 26 games for the club in the regional league until relegation, scoring seven goals. For the 2016/17 season he moved to the Regionalliga promoted SV Grieskirchen . For Grieskirchen, however, he only played five games in the regional league. After six months he left the club and switched to the fourth-class WSC Hertha Wels, where he had started his career. In 2018 he was promoted to the regional league with Wels as runner-up in the Upper Austrian League . Sulimani came in the promotion season to 27 missions in the Upper Austria League, in which he scored seven goals.

In October 2018 he was attacked by a Graz fan in a duel against the Grazer AK when the score was 1: 1 in the 80th minute and brought down. As a result, the game was canceled and the Welser got a 3-0 victory at the green table .

Personal

His two brothers Emin (* 1986) and Benjamin (* 1988) were both active in professional football. Emin played over 150 games in the Bundesliga , Benjamin came to over 100 games each in the Bundesliga and in the second division.
