The sports club Stripfing / Weiden is a football club from the Lower Austrian community Weikendorf in the Gänserndorf district . The club belongs to the Lower Austrian Football Association (NÖFV) and has been playing in the Regionalliga Ost since the 2019/20 season .

history

SV Stripfing was founded in 1951. The first 50 years were spent in the depths of the Lower Austrian lower house without any notable success. The 2007/08 season ended Stripfing in sixth place in the table in the 2nd class , the eighth highest division and at the same time the lowest for the area of Stripfing. In the 2008/09 season they finished 15th and were penultimate. The 2009/10 season ended as tenth of twelve clubs. In the 2010/11 season they were runner-up in 2nd class Marchfeld B behind SV Gänserndorf . In the 2011/12 season you could become champion of 2nd class Marchfeld without defeat and thus move up to seventh class 1st class .

In the first season in the first class North they also did not lose a single game and rose as champions in 2013 in the sixth highest division, the regional league . There you could continue the successful run and as a champion of the regional league north / northwest you rose to the 2nd national league after just one season in 2014 . With that, Stripfing's march through was also over, the 2014/15 season ended in fifth place in the 2. Landesliga Ost , four points behind champions FCM Traiskirchen .

In the 2015/16 season, however, they were able to become champions with a five point lead over pursuers ASK-BSC Bruck / Leitha and thus move up to the state league. In the first season in the fourth-highest division they finished fifth in the table, but with the promotion they had nothing to do with 20 points behind Master Bruck / Leitha. However, they won the Lower Austrian Cup that season after a victory in the final against ASK Ybbs and were thus represented in the ÖFB Cup for the first time in the 2017/18 season . There they were eliminated in the first round against the second division club SC Austria Lustenau . In the league, they narrowly missed the championship title in the 2017/18 season: equal on points with SV Leobendorf , the goal difference decided in favor of Leobendorf.

Promotion to the Regionalliga Ost

In the 2018/19 season, the Marchfelder under coach Erwin Cseh secured the championship title in the national league with only two defeats with a lead of 13 points over Kremser SC . So they rose to the Regionalliga Ost . The squad of the championship team consisted of the following players: Matthias Sadilek (26 appearances), Jozef Grujbár (4); Mario Fürthaler (26), Thomas Weber (26), Danijel Vukasinovic (11), Michael Popp (28), René Herbst (30), Michael Augustin (13), Jan Hofbauer (20); Patrick Haas (30), Ersan Gültekin (6), Sinan Yilmaz (25), Tomislav Juric (5), Oliver Mohr (28), Piotr Pawlowski (4), Salih Önsoy (16), Peter Hammerschmidt (1), Daniel Kalajdzic (10); Edin Salkić (10), Benjamin Sulimani (25), Ingo Klemen (14), Marco Miesenböck (27), Emanuel Rajdl (19), Miralem Nakicevic (3), Rene Kriwak (1). The most successful goal scorers were Benjamin Sulimani (24 goals), ahead of Marco Miesenböck (11) and Emanuel Rajdl (7).

After Stripfing needed a second team for the regional league, a syndicate was formed with FC Angern , which takes part in the championship in 1st class north (7th level).
