    Remarks

    • The game of the 14th round between Wacker Innsbruck and SCR Altach was not played on Sunday, November 7th, 2007 as planned, but on Wednesday, October 24th, 2007. The reason was that construction work still took place in Tivoli-Neu and it was too dangerous to play a Bundesliga game in front of spectators.
    • The game of the 25th round between SCR Altach and Rapid Vienna should be played again after a protest from the Viennese , but the result of 2: 1 was certified by the protest committee after a protest by the Altach against the first judgment. Referee Bernhard Brugger let the shooter shoot a penalty from Altacher Roland Kirchler while Rapid goalkeeper Helge Payer was still with his back turned to Kirchler.
    • The games of the 27th round between Red Bull Salzburg and Wacker Innsbruck as well as Austria Wien and LASK Linz were postponed to Wednesday on the day of the game (in these cases Saturday) due to hurricane Emma .

Second performance level - First League

    Mode and general

In the first division, which was recently sponsored by " Red Zac ", played 12 teams this year. The champion was determined in 33 rounds. All clubs met three times, which meant that six teams were allowed to play one more home game. This right applied to the six best teams of the previous year.

The newly promoted team after 31 match days was SV Kapfenberg , which curiously only stayed in the league last year because the Grazer AK did not get a license for the league. SV Bad Aussee , FC Kärnten and SC-ESV Parndorf had to relegate in 1919 .
