Christian Thonhofer (born May 26, 1985 in Vienna ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

Christian Thonhofer played in the youth team of Kaiserebersdorf, FK Austria Vienna and finally in the Admira Academy. Then he moved to the amateur team of VfB Admira Wacker Mödlings . In the 2005/06 season Thonhofer played 28 games for the Admiraner team and scored three goals. Christian Thonhofer is a multiple young Austrian national player, he made his breakthrough with the U21s . In May 2006 he signed a contract with Rapid Vienna until 2009 and was able to secure a regular place in the preparation period in 2007 through very good games. In 2008 he won the Austrian championship title with the Hütteldorfer.

After 62 games for Rapid, he switched to FC Magna Wiener Neustadt on loan in the summer of 2010 and returned to SK Rapid in the summer after 35 games for Wiener Neustadt. In the summer of 2012 he came to the Bundesliga promoted Wolfsberger AC in Carinthia . After 25 games with one goal, 3 assists and one own goal, the contract was terminated on April 25, 2013. In the summer of 2013 he moved to the amateur club SV Wimpassing. He spent the 2014/15 season at third division club SC-ESV Parndorf 1919 . In summer 2015 he moved to the professional club SK Austria Klagenfurt .

For the 2016/17 season he moved to the national division FC Karabakh Vienna .

Christian Thonhofer moved to the small village of Wimpassing an der Leitha in 2007 .
