Gambrinus League 2006/07

The 2007/08 Gambrinus League was the 15th season of the top Czech division in football . It took place from August 5, 2007 to May 17, 2008 with a winter break from December 10, 2007 to February 15, 2008.

16 teams played against each other twice on a total of 30 match days, divided into a first half and a second half.

Two Prague clubs were promoted from the 2nd division in 2006/07 , FK Viktoria Žižkov and Bohemians 1905 Prague , which replaced the two relegated FK Marila Příbram and 1. FC Slovácko .

From the Gambrinus Liga 2007/08, the Czech champions qualified for the third qualifying round of the 2008/09 UEFA Champions League , the runner-up qualified for the second qualifying round. The 2008/09 UEFA Cup will start third in the table (second qualifying round) and the cup winners (first round). In the 2008 UEFA Intertoto Cup which starts FK Teplice .

Slavia Prague was Czech champion in 2007/08 , Sparta Prague was runner-up . FC Baník Ostrava and the defeated cup finalists FC Slovan Liberec qualified for the UEFA Cup . The FK Teplice qualified in fifth for the Intertoto Cup, as the table Fourth 1. FC Brno did not report for this competition.

The first relegated team was FK SIAD Most after the 28th matchday . The second relegated was Bohemians 1905 Prague .
