Zdeněk Šenkeřík (born December 19, 1980 in Zlín ) is a Czech football player . The striker has played in his home country, Turkey and Norway in his career so far.

Career

Zdeněk Šenkeřík played in his youth for TJ Nedašov , Sigma Olomouc and FC Elseremo Brumov . In 1997, Šenkeřík, who initially played in midfield, was loaned to Svit Zlín , where he made his professional debut. In autumn 1998 he was committed by FC Bohemians Prague , where he only played one game and was loaned to AFK Sokol Semice . In 2000 he did his military service with Dukla Dejvice in the fifth division.

After his return to Bohemians Šenkeřík, now as a striker, was one of the regular players. At the beginning of 2002, Šenkeřík received an offer from the then front runner Slovan Liberec , but turned it down. Instead he moved to FK Jablonec a year later and received a contract for two and a half years, which he extended in October 2005. Just four months later, however, he moved to the Turkish first division team Malatyaspor . The striker signed a three and a half year contract in Malatya .

After the last matchday of the 2005/06 season, allegations of bribery against Zdeněk Šenkeřík and his Czech teammates Jiří Mašek and Jiří Homola were raised in some Turkish media . Allegedly, in the game against Gaziantepspor , which was lost 1-0 and resulted in their own relegation, they deliberately performed poorly, collecting 100,000 euros for it, and thus helping Denizlispor to stay in the league. The three players denied any allegation, which was soon not followed up by the responsible authorities.

In September 2006 Slavia Prague wanted to bring Šenkeřík back to the Gambrinus League , but could not come to an agreement with Malatyaspor. Another request was made in winter 2007, but it was just as unsuccessful. Finally, the move to Slavia worked in July 2007.

Šenkeřík moved in March 2009, initially on loan to the Norwegian first division club Stabæk Fotball .
