Tomáš Necid (born August 13, 1989 in Prague ) is a Czech football player .
Club career
Tomáš Necid started at the Sokol Stodůlky club in Prague when he was five. At the age of eight he was discovered by functionaries of SK Slavia Prague at a school tournament and then engaged.
He made the leap into the first division squad in the 2006/07 season as a 16-year-old. The striker made his debut in the Gambrinus Liga on September 17, 2006 in a home game against 1. FC Slovácko . Necid scored two goals in 13 appearances. At the end of 2006 he was voted the best young Czech player of the year.
In the second half of the 2007/08 season Necid was loaned to FK Jablonec 97 , for whom the striker scored five goals in 13 games. On July 1st, 2008 Necid returned to Slavia Prague. Necid was able to quickly secure a regular place and scored eleven league goals in the first half of the 2008/09 season. On August 29, 2008, Slavia Prague announced Necid's move to the Russian club CSKA Moscow on January 1, 2009 .
After four and a half years in Moscow, Necid moved in the summer of 2013 on loan to the Greek first division club PAOK Thessaloniki , for whom he scored a goal in 12 games. In January 2014 the Czech returned to his home club Slavia Prague on loan. In the second half of the 2013/14 season, the striker scored three goals in 13 first division matches. In summer 2014 Necid was awarded again, this time to the Dutch honorary division PEC Zwolle .
In the summer of 2015, Necid moved to the Turkish first division club Bursaspor .
National team
Tomáš Necid went through all of the Czech junior teams from the U-16s. At the U-17 European Football Championship in 2006 , he was the top scorer with five goals - alongside Bojan Krkic and Manuel Fischer .
The attacker has played in the U-19 team since 2006. With the same he took part in the U-19 European Championship in his home country of the Czech Republic in 2008 . He and his team were eliminated in the semifinals against Germany , the eventual winner of the tournament, but became the top scorer of the competition with a total of four goals.
On November 19, 2008 Necid made his debut in the game against San Marino in the Czech national team . The striker scored a goal in the 3-0 away win in World Cup qualification.
At the European Football Championship in France in 2016 , he was included in the Czech squad and was on the starting line-up for the first game against the Spanish national team. In the second game against Croatia he came into the game as a substitute towards the end of the game and saved his team a point when he converted a penalty to 2-2 in stoppage time. In the last game he played against Poland for over 90 minutes, but could not prevent the defeat. As the bottom of the group in the preliminary round, the team eliminated.
