Mladá fronta Dnes ( German  Young Front Today ), Dnes for short , is - next to the tabloid Blesk (approx. 500,000 copies) - the largest circulation (approx. 320,000 copies) and most widely read daily newspaper in the Czech Republic . Before 1989 it was the newspaper of the then socialist youth organization. Soon after the fall of the Wall, the newspaper was stolen from the state by journalists and some influential personalities in a rather wild manner, and the editorial offices were protected by members of the URNA police special unit , who stayed in the rooms during their free time.

The newspaper belonged for a long time to the Rheinisch-Bergische Verlagsgesellschaft , which publishes the Rheinische Post , among other things . The newspaper also includes the iDnes online service . The publishing company of the newspaper “MAFRA a. s. "was founded on June 26, 2013 by" AGF Media a. s. ”, behind which the Czech entrepreneur and politician Andrej Babiš (chairman of the ANO party 2011 , currently ruling prime minister) stands.
