Osvaldo Canziani

Osvaldo F. Canziani (born April 18, 1923 in Buenos Aires , † 2015 ) was an Argentine climatologist .

He worked in Buenos Aires at the "Instituto de Estudios e Investigaciones el Medio Ambiente" (IEIMA; about: Institute for Environmental Studies and Research), researches and teaches at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina and was a member of the Argentina Academy of Environmental Sciences.

Because of his research, Canziani was appointed to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change . As Co-Chair of Working Group II “Impacts, Adaptation and Vulnerability”, he was responsible for the preparation of both the third assessment report and the fourth assessment report in 2007.
