The Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina ( Spanish : Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina "Santa María de los Buenos Ayres" ), UCA for short , is a university under papal law with its headquarters in Buenos Aires .

history

The UCA's predecessor, the Catholic University of Buenos Aires (1910–1922), was founded by the Argentine Bishops' Conference, but its diplomas were not recognized by the government. In 1922 the university was closed.
