The Universidad Nacional de Misiones ( German : National University Misiones ), UNaM for short , is a public Argentinian university founded in 1973 .
It was founded on the basis of a decree of April 16, 1973 as part of the Plan Taquini , a program for the reorganization of the Argentine higher education system.
The university is named after the province of Misiones , in which the city of Posadas is located, where the university is located. Other faculties of the university are located in Eldorado and Oberá .
