Christoph Heusser (born January 27, 1974 in Baden , Aargau) is a Swiss actor.

Career

Immediately after completing his training in 2002, he was able to play in major Swiss theaters, such as the Bernhard Theater and Stadthof 11 in Zurich and the Winterthur and Schaffhausen city ​​theaters . This was followed by appearances in the barefoot bar, the Stadelhofen theater and the S stage in Zurich. He stood on the latter in a production by Peter Arens . He was also featured in an advertising campaign for the SonntagsBlicks and was a model for a collection by Christa de Carouge .

In 2005 he moved to Berlin, where he could be seen in the ufaFabrik , the ACUD Theater and the literature forum in the Brechthaus .

He originally completed a movement theater training according to Jaques Lecoq. After that he was drawn more and more to the spoken theater, where he could gain a foothold in the independent scene. He played in pieces by Henrik Ibsen , Charles Dickens and Max Frisch , among others .

In 2008 his interest in movement theater led him to the Stabfigurencompany Berlin, where he was a member from March 2008 to February 2009. He has been living in Switzerland again since 2009. In addition to music projects as a guitarist, he founded the theater group Manjemas with Christa Petrachi in 2011 as part of the 5th Secondo Theater Festival. Manjemas also made it to the finals of the Swiss cabaret casting in Olten in 2012. Between 2012 and 2014 he worked at the Theater Mephisto & Co in Konstanz, at the Theater Kanton Bern and at the Kammerspiele Seeb. In 2015 he was able to take on the leading role in the play "Jan Hus - the will of truth". The play by Dagmar Dornbierer-Šašková, staged by Bernhard Gertsch, was performed with an ad hoc ensemble in Zurich as part of the Reformation celebrations. With the theater duo "Rideau Rouge", which he founded with his wife Jorinde Heusser, he was able to perform in small theaters and as "Che Guitarra" he is active as a singer-songwriter with his own songs and cover songs. He took on three roles for the open-air play "Zwinglis Frau" at the Thurthal stage in Fischingen monastery in summer 2020.
