The Universidad Nacional del Sur (also known as UNS , German National University of the South ) is a university in Argentina . It was founded on January 5, 1956 and emerged from the Technological Institute of South (Instituto Tecnológico del Sur, ITS), which was founded in 1946 as the National University of La Plata .
At the end of 2019, 24,332 students were studying here and more than 3,100 professors were employed.
