The Gambrinus League 1999/2000 was the seventh season of the top Czech league in football . It was held from July 31, 1999 to May 17, 2000 with a winter break from December 4, 1999 to February 17, 2000.

16 teams played against each other twice on a total of 30 match days, divided into a first half and a second half.

Sparta Prague won the championship for the sixth time . Like the second Slavia Prague, the team qualified for the Champions League . Cup winners Slovan Liberec and FC Petra Drnovice played in the UEFA Cup . With FK Dukla Příbram , FK Chmel Blšany and SK Sigma Olmütz , three clubs started in the Intertoto Cup .

FC Hradec Králové and FC Kaučuk Opava were relegated to the Druhá fotbalová liga .
