Drnovice (German Drnowitz , also Dirnowitz ) is a municipality with 2377 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019) in the Czech Republic . It is located 3.5 km west of Vyškov and belongs to the Okres Vyškov . The municipality is part of the Drahanská vrchovina microregion .
Attractions
- Church of St. Laurentius, baroque church from the second half of the 17th century, rebuilt in the first quarter of the 18th century.
Sports
The place became known nationwide through the soccer club 1. FK Drnovice , which played in the 1st Czech soccer league from 1993 to 2002 and again in 2004/05 .
