history

Church of St. Alois

The first written mention of the place was in 1255 in the will of Znojmo Burgrave Boček of Jaroslavice and Zbraslav in connection with Hypolit von Otnitz and his son Heinrich. In the 14th century, the two villages Groß Otnitz and Klein Otnitz as well as two farms and a fortress can be traced in the valley. The existence of the parish Otnitz can be proven since 1351. The numerous owners included u. a. Geblin von Kutscherau, who in 1378 bought large and small Otnitz and a farm from the brothers Wenzel and Peter von Krawarn and sold it to Drslaw von Stralek in 1381. In 1412 Arkle von Ritschan acquired the Otnitz estate. He bequeathed Otnitz together with Krzizanowcz to his two sons Andres and Arkle von Ritschan-Okaretz. A Freihof and the brewery have been documented since the 15th century. In 1447 Johann von Polanka bought the estate. Subsequently, the property was temporarily divided, in 1459 Hincz von Senitz can be verified as the owner of a share. The lords of Polanka held Otnitz for almost a hundred years. The festival has been described as desolate since 1490. Around 1540 Albert Bossowný von Polanka sold the estate to Johann von Doubrawitz († 1545). The village of Klein Otnitz ( Otničky ) became extinct at the end of the 16th century, its corridors are now part of Lovčičky . In 1586 the estate belonged to Magdalena von Kaunitz and her husband Michael Kremer von Königsfeld. The next owner was Niklas Woracziczky von Pabienitz († 1591), whose burial place was in the old church. Around 1600 Johann Christoph Jager von Poysbrunn bought Otnice and Uhřice . After his death in 1605, the widow Anna Salomena inherited both goods. She died a little later and the property fell to Jager's uncle Martin Christoph Grafenstauer. The land rights sold Otnice with the parties, the Court and the mill in favor of the left by Johann Christoph Jager orphans in 1611 to Wilhelm Przepitzky of Richemburg and his wife Susanna Pfefferkorn of Ottopach. Cardinal Franz Seraph von Dietrichstein received the parish patronage . Przepitzky lost his property as a rebel after the battle of the White Mountain . In 1623 the imperial chamber sold the estate to Simon Kratzer von Schönsberg for 15,000 thalers. This sold Ottnitz before 1626 to the princes of Liechtenstein , who attached it to the Steinitz rule . The oldest local seal dates from 1743. It shows a fluttering swan and bears the inscription SIGILL DES DORFF OTTNITZ 1743 . In 1790 Ottnitz consisted of 69 houses and had 447 inhabitants. The stately Meierhof Friedeck was located southeast of the village. In 1834, 666 people lived in the 103 houses in Ottnitz. At that time there was a school in Ottnitz that was looked after by the Klobauk dean's office , two bars and the Meierhof Friedeck.

After the replacement of patrimonial Ottnitz / Otnice formed from 1850 a community in the district administration Wischau . In 1855, the Liechtensteiners had the old St. Gallus Church removed and a new church built, dedicated to St. Aloisius was consecrated by Gonzaga . Between 1949 and 1959 Otnice was part of Okres Slavkov and came back to Okres Vyškov after its dissolution . Milešovice is a parish .
